Google NotebookLM created a podcast on the latest news from Klintesphoto & Music concerning the need for yet another band (The Cliffstreamers). A topic raised about the use of AI in music production and creative prejustice against certain instruments.

Nobody likes to read anymore. This has also become a problem of AI generated content. Some of the generators now provide the ability to read text out loud for you and more amazing let  AI personas talk about content as in a podcast.

I have fed a 'press release' with some quotes from my fake personas in the bands and the link to klintesphoto.eu intoGoogles new NotebookLM (sep 24) and asked for a presentation in sound. And there it is, a news podcast about troubling times in the creative world where musicians are scarred about AI influence on their metier.

Below is the 'press release' i served the AI. Note how the podcasters like real journalist made an angel towards controversy and added some own research and ignored the more humorous aspects.

There was a bit of a ‘creative disturbance’ at a production meeting at Klintesphoto & Music lately, The meeting was about planning the reportoire and booking of the studio for the second half of 2024, Normally boring stuff for creative souls. But this time it went ballistic.

The founder and producer Klinte suggested to the two bands - Klinte & The Klintells and Åndssløw - currently signed by the label to use instruments like draw harmonica, bagpipe and banjo in their compositions to enhance their creative footprints. This did not go down well among the musicians.

Fred Borred from Åndssløw stated that, ‘We play heavy rock. A harmonica sound a bit like a harmonica to me, and we actually use a bagpipe in I WANT TO OWN A STONE... but a banjo? Are you kidding me? It is not even a real instrument. It is a combination of a wannabe drum and an animal fence. An a bad one too - not even an electric fence.’

Klinte & The Klintells prefer to play R&B, funk, discojazz and the like but has been used by Klinte to record music out side this scope. Things like DÜSENBOILER and SPACE RUMBA to name a few. However the band want to focus on their main competences.

The saxophone player Mark Meiwords yelled desperately a the proposal he would have to learn bagpiping. ‘If my lips touch this disgusting extension of a sheep stomach it will destroy me brilliant saxophone playing for ever. It is an abomination to my musicianship and soul as an artist.’

‘I don’t undestand these position’ Klinte stated to the medias, ‘we are not in the business of creating hits we are here to investigate music, to create art. Try new ways’. He point to his T-shirt with the bold statement ‘Don’t fart make art!’

However the manager for the two bands Sam Koersel came up with the solution: The Cliffstreamers. A third band that are willing to go the extra mile for apply torture to the audience. The Cliffstreamers are already rehearsing several new compositions in addition to more traditional stuff like an old Danish hymn.

The Cliffstreamer are willing to try any instrument thrown at them - even banjoes, however they refuse to sing. ‘We have to see for that’, laughs Klinte, ‘I plan for using a big choir.’ Will that spell trouble again?
