iPhoneography
Making pictures with smartphones
What happened? The digital cameras being it DSLRs or compact point and shoot cameras somehow reached a level above the quality level people wanted. Pictures can now be made more perfect than ever.
Then all of sudden many photo enthusiast and other photography interested folks began to take pictures with not-that-good build-in smartphone cameras and in addition started to decrease picture quality even further by applying apps that emulated film, lousy lenses, and plastic toy cameras.
A perfect picture is often sterile. You see perfect people, perfect cars, perfect houses, perfect what ever reproduced in perfect photos in commercials all over the place. Well crafted but not that creative vistas. Now it is time to add some organic matter, texture and wildness to photography.
My own first endeavour into iPhoneography is published in the book Hip, hip,... Hipstamatic.
