About the Picture
There is something about rusty and worn out objects that attract photographers. I often visit construction sites to find these motives, as they are very suitable as raw material for abstract images. Decay is beautiful .
This image started as a snapshot that show the demolishing of a local supermarket - in particular the glass recycling machines that never ever worked and thus wasting my time again and again. I was glad they were being dismantled.
By closer inspection of the picture at home I discovered that the bottom part had potential as an abstract. I cranked up the contrast and saturated the colours and did my usual removal of details to enhance to forms.
