Flowers of the old Danish Ingrid Marie apple tree.
In 1908 the four year old Ingrid Marie Madsen died from pneumonia. That same year a new self-sown breed of apples started to grow in her farthers garden. He named it after his missed little girl.
My all time favorite apple. Crisp, sour-sweet and beautiful deep colored red fruits.
This explosion of beautiful flowers was photographed with an iPhone and postprocessed to give the image a painterly finish.
